• Congratulations to Elly Schobel (SC) and Raison d'Etre! Showing Prix St. Georges for the first time at the Southeast Dressage Championship in FL, they were 3rd with a score of 66.8%!

• Elly Schobel (SC) and Raison d'Etre have arrived at Ann Gribbons' farm in FL. They will work on qualifying for the PanAmerican Games in 2007 with Ann's training and support. Watch for her at shows beginning in December. Go Elly!!!

• Congratulations to Katrina Fanning (KY)! Katrina and Roo have now successfully moved up to Training and finished their season successfully at River Glen this fall!

• Congratulations to new owner Lee Kirkpatrick (OH) on the purchase of Denali! This lovely young filly scored 8.0 at her foal inspection and will make a lovely event horse for her new owner.

• Congratulations to owner/rider Jennifer McFall (CA)! In their very first outing, a small event, Jennifer and Rani won convincingly on their dressage score - Jennifer describes Rani as "a cross country machine"!

• Congratulations to owner/rider Elly Schobel (SC) to a great end of the season at Devon!
• 1st in the 4/5-year-old Stallion/Geldings Materiale at with 77.1%, nearly 5% points higher than the next horse. This may be the first time that a horse has won the Materiale at Devon two years in a row!
• 2nd in the 4-year-old Dressage Suitability

• 1st in the Materiale at the Raleigh Breed Show with a magnificent 85%!
• 7th in the warm-up class for the Markel Young Horse Championships for 4-year-olds, where RJ showed himself still a bit green.

 

 

 

Grande Tiara

• With great excitement we welcome the lovely mare Grande Tiara into our broodmare band. Becky Knollman's gorgeous dressage mare won many honors through 4th level, and we can't thank her enough for letting us lease her for breeding to Regulus.

 

 

 

R'Romeo

• bay AWR gelding, born 2000, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Irish Sky (TB)
• Congratulations to owner and rider Christina Lawton (OH)! In their first two outings at Beginner Novice, they placed 2nd and 3rd and are now ready to move up to Novice at Jump Start!

 

 

Panache D

• 16.1h dark bay AWR mare, born 2000, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Eltera (TB)
• Tragic news to report today - and condolences to owner Michelle Smock (KY). Panache had to be put down unexpectedly at the vet clinic where she was being inseminated with frozen semen from Salieri. We're still in shock, and the investigation is just beginning to find out what happened to this lovely, healthy young mare.

 

 

 

 

 

Tecumseh D

• bay AWR gelding, born 2000, by Titan aka Barrabadeen Fortune (Holst.) out of Our Miss Hope (TB)
• Congratulations to new owner Courtney (OH) on the purchase of Tecumseh D! She will be showing him in the hunter/jumper ring, a role he was well-prepared for under his rider Declan Harding with a number of ribbons this year in hunters, jumpers and eventing.

• Congratulations to owner/rider Elly Schobel (SC)! She started out 2006 with a 2nd place in the FEI 4-year-old Young Horse class (77% - first qualifying score for the national finals in KY) and a 2nd place in materiale at the CDI in Raleigh, NC.
• At her next show, Elly won the 4-year-old class to qualify RJ for the Markel Championships in September!

• Congratulations to Cheryll Frank (KY)! Her mare foaled a beautiful, strong filly in a thunderstorm - here shown at a few hours old.

• Congratulations to new owner Jennifer McFall (CA) on the purchase of Rani D! This lovely full sister of last year's HOY Raison de Joie will join the growing phalanx of Regulus offspring to compete in eventing, and with a rider who's already competed successfully at the advanced level.

 

 

R. Hocus Pocus

• Congratulations to owner/rider Beth Weisberger (OH)! R. Hocus Pocus continues his winning ways by running 1st in the open training division at Mayfest with clean cross country and stadium rounds.

• Congratulations to Katrina Fanning (KY)! In their first open novice competition, Katrina and Roo finished 7th with clean cross country and stadium rounds at Mayfest.

• Congratulations to owner Anne Donelan (MA)! Razzmatazz is continuing his success as an eventer, placing 2nd and 3rd in his first two horse trials this spring.

 

 

 

Sidhe D

• bay AWR mare, born 2002, by Pine Ridge (TB) out of Memories Forever (Holst.)
• Have to brag - our Sidhe D was 2nd in the Materiale and twice 4th in the 4-year-old class in her first dressage outing at the KDA Spring Show. She had never been in a dressage ring before, but she acted like a pro throughout and was commended on her obedience and overall attractiveness by the judges.

 

 

Rapidan

• gray AWR gelding, born 2003, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Krystal Heiress (TB)
• Congratulations to new owner Tommy Whitehouse (KY)! In his first outing, Rapidan was 1st in the 3-year-old Colts and Geldings on one day, and 2nd on the other day of the KDA Breeders Classic.

 

 

Regal Presence

• bay AWR gelding, born 2005, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Cotton Socks (TB)
• Congratulations to owner Lucinda Masterton (KY)! In his first outing, Regal Presence was 2nd with 76% in the Yearling Colts and Geldings class at the KDA Breeders Classic.

 

 

 

Time Peace

• bay filly, born April 28, 2006, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Buck Creek Anny (TB)
• Congratulations to Martha Lambert (KY)! Her mare, a former event horse, produced this lovely filly on Rolex weekend - thus her name 'Time Piece', hopefully an omen of how far she will go as an event horse.

 

 

 

Rivaldi SRF

• bay colt, born April 28, 2006, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Miss Vivaldi ox
• Congratulations to David Jones (KY)! One of his lovely endurance Arab mares produced a really attractive colt, here shown at 3 weeks old.

 

 

Rayna

• bay, born April 25, 2006, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Lesa Jo Scarlet (App.)
• Congratulations to Deb Callahan (AK)! Her mare (a 3rd level dressage winner) produced the first Regulus foal of the year, a super athletic filly!

 

Raison d'Etre

• chestnut AWR gelding, born 1998, by Regulus (Holst.) out of Little Doozie (TB)
• Elly Schobel (SC) just returned from a really successful training session with her trainer Ann Gribbons in FL. Elly and Raison d'Etre will work on qualifying for the PanAmerican Games in 2007 with Ann's training and support. Elly needs sponsors to help with training and show costs for this coming winter and spring, so anybody who would like an American-bred horse succeed internationally in dressage, please support Elly in her quest!

• Raison d'Etre has learned pretty much all the elements of Grand Prix by now, and his piaffe/passage tour are rated extraordinary by Ann Gribbons. Ann Gribbons and Germany's Christoph Hess consider Raison d'Etre one of the most promising young dressage horses on the scene right now.

 

Rubikon D

• Congratulations to new owner Katrina Fanning (KY) on the purchase of Rubikon D. In April, Roo and Katrina just completed their first rated Beginner Novice event successfully and will go to River Glen next!
• At River Glen, Katrina and Roo were 5th in Beginner Novice with a fantastic clear X-country run in sloppy footing!!!

 

 

R'Romeo
